Chocolate

Chocolate is on the top of the list that a dog can’t eat. Chocolate contains a very toxic substance which are stimulants that stops a dog’s metabolic process. This substance is called methylxanthines. When you give a small amount of dark chocolate, it can cause diarrhea, vomiting, and become overly thirsty in your dog. And when you give a large amount of dark chocolate to your dog, it can cause seizures, irregular heart function, and worst is death. Do not store chocolates in an accessible location that your dog can easily reach. If he/she ingest chocolate, immediately contact your veterinarian.

Salty foods like salt-filled potato chips, popcorn, fries, oven baked pretzels, and other human snacks that contain too much salt is not good for your dog. As a dog owner, you should maintain the healthy lifestyle of your dog by keeping out the salty snacks on him/her.

Garlic

When garlic is taken in a large dose of your dog, it can lead to the destruction of red blood cells that is enough to cause them to rupture. It could also create anemia in dogs, which has the symptoms of pale gums, elevated heart rate, collapsing, and weakness.  Garlic contains thiosulfate which is toxic to dogs. It is safe to consult your veterinarian about the consumption of garlic of your dog.

Sugary Food
